The Optfuel consortium met at the India Institute for Technology in New Delhi from 24 to 26 February 2010. Participants presented the progress achieved in the first year.
A workshop held together with representatives of Indian car and fuel industry and the Indian car association led to fruitful information exchange and a broadening of viewpoints on biofuels and alternative fuels in India and Europe. |

| During the year 2009 the project has planted the first 100 ha SRC and investigation of the fuels has started. Progress will be reported at the third plenary meeting of the project which will take place from 24. to 26. February 2010 at the Institute for Energy Studies of the India Institute of Technology in New Delhi, India. |

| The OPTFUEL consortium held the kick-of meeting in early February 2009 at the TRYP Hotel in Wolfsburg. European Commission representative Kyriakis Maniatis (DG-TREN) and Eckart Heinl the coordinator of OPTFUEL underlined the objectives and the expected contributions of the project towards a large scale BtL production. Workpackage leaders presented their plans for the next 12 months and all beneficiaries agreed on administrative and management procedures. One of the highlights: Lahit Mohan Das, professor for energy studies at the India Institute of Technology presented the state of the art and perspectives of biofuel in India. |
